Abstract A case of Langerhans cell histiocytosis was reported. A 5-month-old baby presented with yellow-brown maculopapules, scales and crusts on her trunk and upper extremities for 4 months with fever for 1 month. Physical examination showed that dissemiated but non-confluent yellow-brown papules, maculopapules covered by scales and crusts on her trunk, upper limbs and both palms. Some lesions healed with superficial scarring. Large sheets of erythema with scales and superficial erosion on the surface could be found on both groin and vula area. Hepatospleenomegaly was detected. Histopathology showed histiocytes infiltration on the upper dermis. Most of the histiocytes showed irregular morphology with hyperchromatic and irregular nuclei which could also be found in the epidermis. Immunohhistochemical stainting showed S-100,CD1a and CD 68 were postitive. A final diagnosis of Langerhans cell histio cytosis was established.
