The incidence of invasive fungal infections has increased continuously and the contradiction between the high incidence and mortality with the early diagnosis remains very intense. At present, the diagnosis of fungal infection mainly relies on routine morphologic and biochemical methods. Recently, great progress has been made in the research and application of serologic and molecular biologic techniques, which may generate some rapid and efficient approaches to clinical early diagnosis.
