So far, Toll-like receptors��TLRs��are considered as the first immunologic recognition receptors in innate immune system that make direct defense response by recognizing pathogenic microorganism. In TLRs family��TLR1-11 is found to be a bridge connecting innate immunity and adaptive immunity. TLRs play important roles in innate immune response. In addition, they can regulate adaptive immunity. TLRs will become new targets for the treatment of infectious diseases��such as acne, candidiasis and condyloma acuminatum.
