Abstract:

Tissue engineering skin is a focal point of tissue engineering researches, and has been studied most maturely. Many foreign products of tissue engineering have been approved for clinical application by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Tissue engineering skin has evolved from epidermal replacement and dermal replacement to composite skin replacement, and is widely used in the treatment of burns, ulcers and some dermatologic diseases. In this article, sorts and applications of tissue engineering skin are reviewed.
