The prevalence of genital chlamydial infection is rising. It could cause the increase of human immunodeficiency virus��HIV�� infection rate and human papilloma virus-related dysplasia of cervix, which has attracted extensive attention of venereologists. The genital chlamydial infection rate varies from 3% to 5% in asymptomatic males. The probability of HIV infection in male or female patients with genital chlamydial infection is 3-6 times of that in normal human individuals. Since conventional testing methods for genital chlamydial infection not only cause patients�� discomfort and embarrassment, but also need special testing room and aseptic condition, non-invasive testing methods are more acceptable to these patients.
