The pathogenesis of AD remains unclear, and may be related to impaired skin barrier, genetic susceptibility, environmental risk factors, aberrant immune regulation, etc. Recent studies have indicated that AD is associated with immune responses mediated by innate lymphoid cells ��ILCs��, especially type 2 ILCs. It has been reported that type 2 ILC?-related cytokines such as interleukin ��IL��-4, IL-5 and IL-13 play important roles in the development of AD, which may offer new targets for the treatment of AD.
