Application of antidepressants in dermatology

Tricyclic antidepressants ��TCA�� and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors ��SSRIs�� are the most widely used antidepressants. The diseases that can be treated by antidepressants include primary psychiatric disorders, dermatoses related to stress or emotion, cutaneous sensory disorders and mental status-unrelated dermatoses. These drugs have shown good therapeutic effects, few adverse effects, and are of great value for the improvement of patients′ quality of life.
