In recent years, several studies have proved that the abnormity of DNA methylation is closely related to the development of melanoma, cutaneous basal cell carcinoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and cutaneous T cell lymphoma. The development of technologies has greatly facilitated the detection of DNA methylation. Analyzing aberrant methylation of genes by using methylation detection technologies has become a new direction in early diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of prognosis of skin neoplasms.
