Inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus: a case report
A case of Inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus is reported. A 26-year-old male patient presented with 8-month history of pruritic, erythmatous, and scaly papules arranged in a linear distribution following Blaschko’s lines on the left trunk, left leg, left arm. Skin biopsy revealed alternating areas of orthokeratotic and parakeratotic hyperkeratosis overling hypergranulosis and hypogranulosis, respectively, regular acanthosis, dilated papillar blood vessels, and superficial perivascular lymphocytic inflammatory infiltrate. He was diagnosed with Inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus, and received 0.1%Tacrolimus cream and 0.05 % Halometasone cream, but no obvious improvement was observed after 4 weeks. The patient was still followed up. This disease should be differentiated from other types of epidermal nevus, linear psoriasis and lichen striatus.
