Allergic contact dermatitis(ACD) is induced mainly by type N allergic reaction, partly by the late phase of type I allergic reaction. On the one hand, the body's immune system actively responses to exotic pathogens and allergens through immune reaction, while on the other hand, the system regulates the extent of the reaction and prevents body damage from it, and immunotolerance is developed in the latter process. The immunoregulation of type N allergic reaction is.mainly mediated by CD4⁺ T regulatory cells, and in ACD it is by Tr1 and Tr2 cells. T regulatory cells have become a molecular marker for immune therapy and evaluation.
