Primary cutaneous CD30⁺ lymphoproliferative disorders are a spectrum of disorders, including primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma, lymphomatoid papulosis and some borderline cases. They share the common feature of expressing CD30 antigen, and differ in clinical manifestations and histological findings. Because of their benign prognosis, the balance between the benefits from and potential side effects of a short term active treatment should be taken into account when selecting an appropriate treatment. CD30⁺ cells are also present in some other diseases, so the result of immunohistochemical examination should be analyzed combined with clinical findings.
