Connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) may be a key determinant of probnessive fibrosis.It can promote cell proliferation,extracellular matrix synthesis and accumulation,mediate cell adhesion and migration.CTGF is overexpressed in fibrotic tissue.It is closely associated with the occurrence and development of fibrotic skin diseases such as scleroderma and pathological scar,et al.Taking CTGF as a distinctive target will explore a new approach for the treatment of fibrotic diseases.
