Studies on the relationship between streptococcal infection and psoriasis have attracted much attention in recent years.Both streptococcal throat infection worsing psoriasis and anti-streptococcal interventions improving the disease indicated that streptococcal infection may be associated with psoriasis.Psoriasis is a kind of autoinnnune disease mediated by T lymphocyte.Streptococcal antigen may evoke psoriasis and make the disease persist in susceptible people.HLA polymorphism may be involved.The article reviews the studies on the relationship of the pathogenesis of psoriasis and streptococcal infection in regard to cellular and humoral immunity and genetic susceptibilities.
