DNA microarray technology and its application in psoriasis

Abstract:

This paper provides a brief introduction of DNA microarray technology and its application in the research of psoriasis pathogenesis and treatment mechanism. With the utilization of this technology, investigators have identified some interesting target genes as well as putative susceptibility loci of psoriasis, such as 1q21, 3q21 and 14q31-32. These findings not only help to better understand the complex etiology and genetic background of psoriasis, but also provide a shortcut for the exploration of new therapeutic targets for psoriasis.
