Acne vulgaris is a common multiple-factor disease with the involvement of seborrhea glands and follicles. In the treatment of acne, phototherapy has the advantage of a rapid response, short treatment duration and limited side effects, however, it could not completely take the place of traditional approaches. Therefore, light, laser, and radiofrequency therapy may be an ideal option for those who are unwilling to receive, unresponsive to, or intolerant to conventional treatment.
