CC Chemokines and Chronic Urticaria

Department of Dermatology, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai 200040, China

Department of Dermatology, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai 200040, China

Abstract:

CC chemokines are selective chemoattractants for eosinophils and T lymphocytes, and closely related to allergic reaction. Chronic urticaria is a common allergic skin disease. In addition to the early-phase allergic reactions of type I, the late-phase allergic reactions characterized by the infiltration of eosinophils are involved in the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria. CC chemokines play an important role in the occurrence and development of late-phase allergic reactions in chronic urticaria.
