Abstract:

Neisseria gonorrhoeae is the pathogenic bacterium of gonorrhea.Gonorrhea vaccines, such as whole cell vaccine, subunit vaccine and genetically engineering vaccine have been intensively investigated to screen the high efficient target site of vaccine for gonorrhea prophylaxis.According to the reseaches of subunit vaccine, the Pilin and outer membrane protein Opa are not suitable for vaccine development because of a high degree of variation, while Porin is the best candidate and superficial lipopolysaccharide as well as transferrin receptor are new promising candidates. The research in genetically engineering vaccine shows that the recombinant and DNA vaccines have a better practical perspective.
