Topical Therapy for Rosacea

Abstract:

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis occurring on the face and nose of middle-aged persons. Vasomotor lability, maladjustment of nervous system function and longstanding telangiectases caused by various factors all contribute to the pathogenesis of rosacea. The therapy of rosacea is a long-term process. Systemic treatment for rosacea often has many side effects and the efficacy of it is similar to that of the topical treatment. Therefore rosacea sufferers prefer topical drugs. This article reviews the topical therapy for rosacea.
