Abstract:
The approaches to identify Candida dubliniensis from Candida albicans are reviewed. The methods based on phenotypic difference are simple and easy, and the differentiating phenotypes include germ tube formation, colonial morphology, chlamydospore formation, color and fluorescence formation, growth temperature, enzyme activity, carbon source assimilation and infrared spectrum, etc. The molecular biological approaches, which may involve DNA fingerprint, polymerase chain reaction, restriction fragment length polymorphism, random amplification polymorphism DNA, and ribosome DNA sequencing, are more reliable. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
